Summary
Prince Flynn of Albion is loved for his attractiveness and charm, but what about the constant dating rumors? Not at all. He suggests a daring plan to his assistant, Drew, who is fed up with the rumors: pretend to date him in order to steer the conversation. It’s all a show until Drew begins to view Flynn differently. Is it possible for a contrived romance to become genuine?
Prince Flynn Caplyde FitzRobert, prince of the Kingdom of Albion, was charming, sporty, well-groomed, and the greatest man in the world. “This is another sensational scandal story, and I was supposed to dance at an event last night, so how could this possibly come up in ten hours?” And the media’s favorite victim, born into a life of the camera! Finally, he denounced bogus news! “They’re making a scandal, what do you think?” A scandal for a scandal, a tooth for a tooth, an eye for an eye! The call came from Drew Anderson, a full-time typist. For some reason, despite her protests that it was absurd, she consented to participate in the fictitious scandal. “Pfft, Flynn.” Quit giving me that glare. That ought to have been what I said. I couldn’t tell if what was on my lips was a yearning or a premonition. “Keith, are you going to ……?” The ‘wait’ command had been withdrawn, and she gasped like a puppy. Then she forced a phony smile onto her lips. “If.” After a pause, he eventually plucked up the bravery. “Are you going to show me how?”
