Summary
Set in a politically charged empire, the story follows the complex relationship between the puppet Empress and the Grand Duke Enoch Roark—the man who orchestrated her rise to the throne. Publicly, Enoch is her most loyal subject, often referred to as the Empress’s hound. He’s constantly by her side, managing state affairs and drawing the ire of jealous nobles.
But behind closed doors, their dynamic shifts dramatically. The Empress, seemingly in control by day, finds herself emotionally and physically vulnerable at night. Their relationship is laced with manipulation, longing, and a twisted sense of devotion.
“I-I was wrong, so please, just forgive me already!” “Do you truly dislike it? You can be honest with me.”
