In a lonely and destitute village, Kay, the placid vice-captain of the guard, leads a tranquil and uneventful life until High Duke Zigril arrives and upends everything. The fabled Alosha, a rare and enigmatic flower that is said to give pregnancy to anybody who consumes it, regardless of age or gender, is what Zigril is searching for. The Duke, who is attracted to Kay in a fleeting moment of passion, hopes that their meeting will only be a fleeting whim. However, their relationship takes unforeseen turns as Zigril can’t help but think about Kay. Soon after, Kay is given the perilous responsibility of leading the Duke to the far-off city of Edor at his request. Kay starts to understand along the journey that the mysterious flower might not be the only thing at risk. What does Zigril truly seek, and what will they learn on this dangerous journey?
