Set in a richly drawn historical/fantasy world, the story follows Ixor Malkuth, a prideful duke who seizes the territory of Daon, a mysterious slave. Used to getting anything he desires, Ixor is intrigued when Daon refuses his advances and challenges his authority.
He initially treats her as a submissive target—until she escapes. Determined to win her over, he attempts persuasion through charm and influence. But each effort only strengthens his feelings; he gradually realizes his heart might be conquered instead.
Meanwhile, Daon is depicted as exceptionally intelligent and composed, a figure of stoicism and tactical thinking. Her emotional walls remain mostly intact, which only furthers Ixor’s fascination.
