Summary
Gachiakuta (ガチアクタ) is an action-packed dark fantasy manga by Kei Urana, with graffiti-inspired designs by Ando Hideyoshi, serialized since February 2022 in Weekly Shōnen Magazine and currently ongoing with 15 volumes compiled as of mid‑2025.
In a stratified dystopian society, the privileged “Sphere” floats above a polluted wasteland known as The Pit, where trash—and those deemed unworthy, such as criminals and outcasts—are discarded.
Rudo, an orphaned “tribesfolk” living with his foster father Regto, scavenges discarded items from the affluent Sphere. One day, he returns home to discover Regto murdered—and, because of his low social status, Rudo is immediately blamed and tossed into the Pit for the crime.
Falling into the Pit, Rudo wakes up in a dreadful landscape inhabited by monstrous beings formed from trash. He’s attacked by trash-beasts but saved by Enjin, a “Cleaner” who introduces Rudo to the secret world of Givers—individuals with the power to bring life to discarded objects.
Rudo discovers he is a Giver with a Vital Instrument—a pair of gloves called “3R”—that allows him to imbue discarded items with anima (soul-like power) turning them into useful weapons. Driven by vengeance and hope, he joins the Cleaners, fighters who eliminate trash beasts and help him in his quest to return to the Sphere and clear his name.
